ORGANIZATION
How is SEA organized?
The four ministers are commissioning the SEA program. They set the frameworks, support and supervise. Agreements on this are made in the Four-Country Ministerial Consultation on Education.
Four ministers of education:
SEA Advisory Committee
On the initiative of the Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science and with the consent of all parties during the Four-Country Ministerial Consultation on Education, the SEA Advisory Committee was established. This committee advises, solicited and unsolicited, on the development, implementation and progress of the SEA activities.
SEA Program Team
The team consists of a program manager, a deputy program manager, four civil servants from the countries of the Kingdom and an education-labor market advisor. The program team puts the ministers’ recommendations and plans into action.
The SEA Student Council
The SEA Student Council represents students and advises the SEA Program Team and the SEA Advisory Committee. They actively contribute to improving study experiences by:
- Providing advice on programs and initiatives that are important to students.
- Collect student experiences and make bottlenecks visible.
- To contribute ideas about reports and policy plans aimed at Caribbean students.
Sometimes they are given specific assignments, such as sharing experiences on a certain theme or giving feedback on a new plan. In this way, they ensure that students are really heard and have a say in their future.
